Our mixed training sessions are a fun and relaxed way to get involved in hockey, meet the NPL team and have a go at the sport. Players of all abilities are welcome, whether you’re completely new to hockey, returning to the game or simply looking to try something different.
Training takes place at Ashford Sports Club, Short Ln, Stanwell, Staines TW19 7BQ. If you’d like to come along, just get in touch and we’ll arrange for you to join us at a session.
Don’t have your own hockey kit? No problem! There’s usually someone with a spare stick you can borrow and have a go. We do recommend bringing shin pads and a mouthguard for your safety.

Now based at Ashford Sports Club in Staines, NPL is looking for new players, goalkeepers and umpires of all abilities – whether you’re new to hockey, returning to the game or looking for a new club.
We have both men’s and ladies’ teams, offering opportunities for different levels of ability and commitment. Whether you’re looking to play competitive league hockey or simply enjoy the game and the social side of being part of a club, there’s a place for you at NPL.
Our men’s training takes place on Wednesdays from 18:30, while the ladies’ training takes place on Tuesdays from 19:30, both at Ashford Sports Club, Short Ln, Stanwell, Staines TW19 7BQ. We provide professional coaching and film our training sessions and home matches, allowing our coaches to analyse performance and help players develop and improve.
Our great-value membership includes match fees and team teas, with no hidden extras. League matches are played on Saturdays, and we have a friendly, welcoming and active social side off the pitch too.

At NPL Hockey Club, Teddington, our membership fee includes all match fees and team teas, making us a very competitive option in the local area. Training is available to all members who want to develop their skills and train with one of our professional coaches.
Our club offers professional coaching for both our men’s and ladies’ teams, with dedicated training sessions held on Wednesdays from 18:30 for the men’s team and Tuesdays from 19:30 for the ladies’ team, at Ashford Sports Club, Short Ln, Stanwell, Staines TW19 7BQ. We film our training sessions and home matches, allowing our coaches to analyse our performance and help our players and teams continually improve.
Our teams play league hockey every Saturday, and we welcome players of all abilities. There are several membership options available for the 2026–2027 season, as detailed below.

This is you're agreement with the club which includes subs payment, the England Hockey code of conduct and what we ask of you. By signing this, you agree to follow this commitment. Please make sure you sign this and give to your captain or a committee member.
