Due to Covid 26 NPL Hockey Players, friends and family jumped out of bed early this morning to compete in a virtual London Marathon Relay Mile.
Organised by the British Airways Athletics Club this event involved 17 teams of 26 people from around the world.
Starting off at 8am, each person had to run a mile as fast as they could and then hand the virtual baton over to the next person (via WhatsApp communication) until all 26 runners had completed their mile. Mollie Bosanquet started off at 8am and ran the fastest mile of the team at 6:21 followed closely by Helen Taylor who ran the second fastest mile at 6:55.
Fastest male was Digga at 7:04 closely followed by Jeremy and Chris Frank. Well done all a fantastic effort! Jeremy was the last to run, the 26th mile and it meant we completed the course as a team in a fantastic time of 3:50:52!
