On a bright but rather windy day, we welcomed back Safari Jen and Linguini Caro from their travels and were full of optimism for our second game against a youthful Teddington.
A lack of umpires meant a late start and we from the get-go we were under pressure, but our defiance was like a pack of Hyenas, we ran as a pack, soaking it up; corner after short corner was thwarted by our two cheetahs, SJ and Jens running out and Moosie, the Lion King, directing her pride, cleared up any shots that snuck through.
However just minutes from the end of the first half, we conceded a goal, from a yet another corner.
We started the second half brightly with a SJ impala special up the right to cross to Jen but it went just wide of the waterhole. Teddington were relentless, like dreaded Tsetse flies, you swat one only to find 3 more hiding in your underwear and with their 5 subs (unfair ) meant that however well the pack tackled, and Sarah was a Hyena, constantly scavenging for any scraps in the centre with Zandie and J9 like gazelles, ready to pounce on anything and everything. We eventually caved under the pressure and conceded 3, in the last quarter. But we will lick out wounds and return with the Big 5!
