A Halloween Horror Show… or a Point Worth Haunting! 👻
There were plenty of Oooos and Arghhhhs in the opening stages, mostly coming from the opposition, which was enough to make anyone’s blood boil! 🧛♀️
Yes, there were a few horror tackles and some questionable moments of foul play on both sides, with players sent flying like ghosts in the night. Thankfully, I don’t think there were any truly sinister intentions!
Moosie’s half-time team talk certainly raised a few eyebrows, declaring that “you’re like a scared bunch of skeletons!” 💀 Admittedly, they were a tall team with a few younger players, but we had something they didn’t… age, experience and a few more tricks up our sleeves!
There were plenty of short corners at both ends, and dare I say it, a truly terrifying green card handed to one of our very own! 🟩 A decision that may well haunt us for some time!
Thankfully, we found our feet in the second half, banished a few demons and managed to keep a clean sheet. 👻
So, one point added to the cauldron today. Could we have been better? Absolutely. But we’ll take the lessons, sharpen our broomsticks and be ready to give them a proper fright when we meet again!
Until next time… may the hockey gods be with us! 🎃🏑
